I am summer’s TA

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Yes! Finally!! Been waiting all month for this—the first day of summer has finally arrived! Up at 5:00am on the dot this morning, coffee in hand, to absorb the first rays of the rising solstice sun at 5:15am.

But the sky was cloudy & a bunch of houses stood between me and the horizon….

This is what I imagine sunrise looked like this morning.

But the sun rose anyway.

I was all about it—solstice, sunshine, energy! I journaled, planned my day, set some fab summer goals, got the patio ready, picked raspberries, & opened my computer (the fatal error).

After that, I am not sure what happened.

Got sucked into creating a new color palette for my website, decided I must have this t-shirt (which I ordered), remembered I needed sunflower seeds (an ingredient for tonight’s dinner), which I also ordered, drove my daughter to the bank and to the market and then to the “L” station to get to work.

And then, logically, I bought new plants.

(stock photo of some plants & a cat that resembles mine in that it is also a cat)

Was this the plan for my day?
Nope.
Does it matter.
Nope.
Why not?

Because it’s summer & summer plays by its own rules. Sometimes. When it damn well feels like it.

And this is the day summer damn well felt like.

Want to know what a full, rule-less, impulsive summer feels like? Ditch work around 3pm tomorrow & join me (& summer) for Summer’s Office Hours on my patio.

Can’t get to the patio? Zoom in through the link below.

Summer’s Office Hours 3pm Friday

Bring what you want—something to eat, something to drink, something to talk about.

I’ll be there each Friday until August.

Summer insists.
